Recover the lost administrators password
The password you think as Administrator Password it is also a user with Administrator To see real Administrator go to safe mode where you will find Admin user.
If you forget or lost your administrative password, to recover password
1.First reboot Windows XP in safe mode by re-starting the computer and pressing F8 repeated as the computer starts up.
2.Then (in safe mode) Click Start and then click Run.
In the open box type "control userpasswords2" without the quotes OR Go to Control panel->User Accounts to change the Password
3.You will now have access to all the user accounts, including the administrators account and will be able to reset the lost password.
4.Just click the administrators user account, and then click Reset Password.
5.You will need to add a new password in the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and confirm by clicking OK. All done, you have recovered the lost adminitrators password!

How to change the User Login in Win XP
If Customer wants the classic way of login: Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to login
In the control panel, click on "User Account" on this control, under "Pick Task" select "Change the way users log on and off". On this window uncheck "use welcome screen" and "Use fast user switching". This will revert you back to the traditional WinNT/Win2000 style of logging in.
OR
Start -> Run -> Regedit and change the following value:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogonlook for "LogonType" in there and change the DWORD value from 1 to 0 (double click on it and enter 0 in popup the)...after a restart you should have the classic logon-box...
If Customer don’t want the classic way of login:
Reverse the steps:
Start>>Control Panel >>User Accounts >>Select Change the way users log on and log off>>Check the option>>Use Welcome screen & Use Fast user switching
Then restart the computer.
You will not get the traditional style of logging in.
